‘Valentino Rossi’ the MotoGP world champion born in Urbino, Italy on 16th February 1979.  Rossi’s first World Championship was on 1996 . Rossi moved from Honda to Yamaha since 2004 and won season-opening Grand Prix in South Africa.

On 5th of June 2010 Rossi crashed in his practice session , so most probably this will be the first time in his career Valentino Rossi will not participate in his home GP at Mugello. At the time of crash he was at a speed of  190 km/h. The Fiat Yamaha rider will miss the Gran Premio d’Italia TIM after suffering a displaced and exposed fracture of his right tibia in a crash in practice.

For the first time in his career Valentino Rossi will not participate in his home GP at Mugello. On 5 June 2010 MotoGP race at Mugello, Rossi crashed in the second free practice session at around 120 mph (190 km/h), and is likely to be out for most of the season. Rossi has successful surgery in Florence.
Rossi’s absence on 6 June 2010 will be the first time he has missed a race since his debut in the 125cc class in Malaysia in 1996, breaking a record run of 230 successive GP starts.
