Luis Fabiano Clemente, born on 8 November 1980 in Sao Paulo who commonly known as Luís Fabiano is a Brazilian footballer, who currently plays for Sevilla FC and the Brazilian national team as a striker. Fabiano made his debut for Brazil on 11 June 2003 in a friendly against Nigeria, marking his international debut with a goal before being substituted. He was also included in Brazil’s squad for 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup, but did not make any appearances. He won the Copa América 2004 tournament with Brazil, where he started in all five matches alongside fellow striker, Adriano. However, with his poor form in Europe with Porto and Sevilla, he did not make any further international appearances for more than 3 years.

Luis Fabiano enjoyed great success during two spells with Brazilian side Sao Paulo, with a disappointing period at French side Rennes sandwiched in between. His strength on the ball, accurate finishing and pace made him a vital part of the side that fell in the semi-finals of the 2004 Copa Libertadores de America. Fabiano was labeled the ‘bad boy’ of Brazilian football when playing for São Paulo after a number of brawls.

Luis Fabiano was finally recalled to the national team on November 2007 for a World Cup qualifying match. On 19 November 2008, Fabiano scored his first international hat-trick in a friendly match against Portugal in Brasília. The match ended in a 6–2 victory for Brazil. Gonzalo Gerardo “El Pipita” Higuain is an Argentine footballer of Basque descent. who currently plays as a striker for Real Madrid and the Argentine national team. He is the son of former footballer Jorge “El Pipa” Higuaín, and the younger brother of footballer Federico Higuaín.

Higuain was selected for Argentina by coach Diego Maradona for the last 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification games against Peru and Uruguay. He scored his first goal on his full debut, a 49th minute strike during a 2–1 win over Peru. Following Argentina’s qualification, Higuaín was included in the squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s 4–1 win over South Korea in their second group match, becoming the third Argentinian to score a hat-trick in the World Cup finals, after Guillermo Stábile in 1930 and Gabriel Batistuta in 1994 and 1998, and the first player to score a hat-trick in the tournament since 2002. His goal in the 3–1 defeat of Mexico in the Second Round took him to a total of 4, and he remained the top scorer for Argentina in the competition.

Gianluigi “Gigi” Buffon is an Italian FIFA World Cup, UEFA Cup, and Serie A winning goalkeeper who plays for Serie A club Juventus and is the captain of the Italian national team. He is considered by many fans and experts to be one of most dominant and successful goalkeepers in recent history.  Buffon was declared by Pelé to be one of the 125 greatest living footballers in the world, and has also been named the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year a record nine times.

Buffon was awarded his first cap for Italy on 29 October 1997, at the age of nineteen, as an injury replacement for Gianluca Pagliuca during a qualifier for 1998 FIFA World Cup play-off against Russia. He was called up for the 1998 World Cup finals, but did not play a single game as Pagliuca remained first choice. He was a member of the Italy squad at the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004. Buffon was also the first choice goalkeeper for Italy at the Euro 2000, but broke his hand in a friendly match against Norway just eight days before the tournament started, and had his starting place taken by Francesco Toldo.

Buffon joined the Italy national team in 1997. In the 2006 FIFA World Cup he led them to the championship, allowing only two goals in 7 games. Therefore, some people currently consider him the best goalkeeper in the world.
